Formed to strengthen the bonds among alumni who sang during their time on campus, Columbia Alumni Singers:

Serves Columbia University
- provide opportunities to use singing in community outreach in ways that add to Columbia's reputation and relationships
- reinforce the Columbia Alumni Association's interest in a new alternative for engaging alumni

Supports student choral singing
- attend performances, mentor student singers and provide links to historical traditions
- provide financial support incremental to other giving to Columbia
- help support current special operating needs, e.g., student travel
- endow major needs over time, e.g., rehearsal/performance space

Sing as Columbia Alumni Chorus
- open to any Columbia alum (and family) who wants to (and can) sing
- produce and manage performance options and singing tours
- foster camaraderie, re-affiliation and nostalgia and reinforce bonds in ways that only choral singing, the most popular form of music-making, can do
